Day 1: Delhi – Nainital
The voyage begins with an exciting road journey through the enchanting and verdant Kumaon valleys. Upon arrival in Nainital, the rest of the day will be free to explore the beauty of this charming hill station.
Nainital offers an excellent view of the northern Himalayan ranges. Its serene Naini Lake, beautiful temples, bustling bazaars, and the stunning Himalayan peaks in the distance create a breathtaking panorama. It is also known as the "Lake Paradise." Visitors can enjoy boating on the picturesque Naini Lake through yachts, paddle boats, and traditional rowing boats.
Day 2: Nainital
After breakfast, proceed for a lake tour of Bhimtal, Sattal, and Naukuchiatal. The sightseeing tour of Nainital will take you to several renowned attractions, starting with the Nanda Devi Temple. Situated on the northern shore of Naini Lake, it is one of the most sacred temples in the region.
Enjoy a boating experience on the crystal-clear waters of Naini Lake. You may also choose to take an optional cable car ride to a hilltop viewpoint in Nainital.
Next, visit Bhimtal, where you can enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake. Fabrics and woollen garments are among the most popular shopping items in Nainital. Spend time exploring the bustling shops on Mall Road, which are filled with artefacts, handicrafts, and souvenirs from various parts of Uttarakhand.
Day 3: Nainital – Ranikhet
After breakfast, drive to Ranikhet. Rolling green hills and distant views of the Himalayas, set against a distinct old-world military atmosphere, make Ranikhet a destination that inspires and soothes the senses. As you stroll through the town, you will come across neatly lined trees, bustling bazaars selling unique curios, and peaceful lanes perfect for long nature walks.
Situated at an altitude of approximately 6,000 feet, Ranikhet is a serene hill station surrounded by conifer forests and snow-capped Himalayan ranges. The town is also known for the 9-hole Army Golf Course, the orchards of Chaubatia, and the famous Jhoola Devi Temple. You may also visit the Kali Devi Temple before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay at Ranikhet.
Day 4: Ranikhet – Kausani – Ranikhet
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Kausani. Known for its exceptional beauty, Kausani is nestled at an elevation of 1,890 metres and offers magnificent scenic views and unmatched natural charm. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
Explore the ancient Baijnath Temples and other historic shrines in Bageshwar, many of which date back to the 10th century. The surrounding hills are covered with pine and oak forests, while the region is known for its orchards of apples, peaches, and pears.
The breathtaking scenery makes Kausani an ideal destination for nature walks and relaxation. Spend the day amidst its enchanting landscapes before returning to Ranikhet for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Ranikhet – Corbett National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Corbett National Park, the famous tiger reserve named after the renowned hunter and conservationist Jim Corbett. Upon arrival, check in to a deluxe forest resort.
Later, you may opt for an afternoon Jeep Safari (at an additional cost) inside the tiger reserve for wildlife viewing.
Surrounded by dense forests and characterised by sub-Himalayan ecological features, Corbett National Park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including the critically endangered Bengal Tiger. One of India's most popular wildlife destinations, the park offers spectacular landscapes, thrilling wildlife encounters, and tranquil natural surroundings. Visitors interested in angling may also try catching the famous mahseer fish as a sport.
Day 6: Corbett – Delhi
After breakfast, begin your approximately 7-hour drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
