Tour Itinerary:
Day 01: SRINAGAR – SONAMARG - KARGIL
Meet our representative at Srinagar Airport He will assist you and transfer you to the Kargil via Sonamarg the name Sonamarg is derived from two Kashmiri words “Son” & “Marg” which mean “Gold” & “Meadow”, when put together it means “Meadow of Gold” The drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg is very beautiful as you will pass through some towns and villages, at many places you can enjoy the view of paddy fields with rivers flowing on one side, after spending sometime at Sonamarg continue drive towards to Kargilby crossing the Zoji-la Pass ‘Gateway Of Ladakh’ (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) through Drass Village the second coldest inhabited place in the world later reach Kargil check in to Hotel and Relax, overnight stay in Hotel at Kargil.
Day 02 : KARGIL – LAMAYURU – LEH
After early breakfast leave for Leh it takes 8hrs drive to reach at Leh. Enroute visit 11th century rock curved statue at Mulbek, Lamayuru monasteries , En route enjoy the view of Sangam (confluence of Indus and Zanskar River), visit Hall Of Fame (The Hall of Fame is a glorious museum constructed by the Indian Army. It is worth a visit for every citizen. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defense personalities with biographies, images and weapons used during the Kargil and other key strategic battles fought in Ladakh) Megnetic Hill (Defying the Law of gravity. This place is close to the Gurdwara Shri Patthar Sahib. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up-hill that’s the Believe it or not of Ladakh) PatharSahab (The Shrine known as GurdwaraPatthar sahib is situated about 25 kms. Short of Leh town on the Leh-Srinagar road. Built in the everlasting memory of Shri Guru Nanak DeveJi the great prophet who sanctified the place by his sacred visit during the year) also visit Sangam & Spituk, later reach Leh check into Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03 : FULL DAY TOUR TO INDUS VALLEY
After breakfast at Hotel you will be proceed to Thiksey village, visit Thiksey monastery and drive to Shey Village to visit Shey Palace and Gompa. Continue drive to Hemis monastery to visit one of the most famous monasteries of Ladakh. Later on the way back to Leh get down at the SindhuGhat for SindhuDarshan and walk along the river, also visit 3 Idoits School campus. After spending some time at the river come back to the Hotel afternoon visit Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the LadakhiHimalayan town of Leh. Modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, the palace was built by King SenggeNamgyal in the 17th century. It is nine storeys high; the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms. Then visit to Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist BhikshuGyomyo Nakamura . The Shanti Stupa holds the relics of the Buddha at its base, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lamahimself . then drive towards to Sankar, SankarGompa is a Buddhist monastery It is a daughter-establishment of Spituk Monastery and the residence of the Abbot of Spituk, the Venerable Kushok Bakula, who is the senior incarnate lama of Ladakh due to his ancient lineage and personal authority, later back to Hotel, overnight stay in Hotel at Leh.
Day 04: LEH –KHARDUNGLA PASS - NUBRA VALLEY Post breakfast drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley check in at our Camp / Hotel for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. Overnight Stay
DAY 05: NUBRA VALLEY – PANGONG LAKE
After an early breakfast we check out from the Camp and drive to Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a bacterian camel double humped (On Direct payment Basis) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snow capped mountains on the horizon. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. Seen in isolation you could well be amongst the sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. It is indeed a strange sight since immediately on the left of the road are rocky mountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains. Later drive towards Pangong Lake by Shyok On the way, you have amazing view of charming villages, beautiful mountains, animals like Yaks, nomads and beautiful valley of Changthang. Arrive at Lake, the Lake is 136 kms long and 5 kms wide, 47% of this lake is in India and rest is in Tibet. The view of lake is spectacular and breathtaking. Enjoy the unforgettable scenery beauty of Lake and the voice of Himalayan migrant birds. Evening free for leisure, overnight stay in Camp.
Day 06 : PANGONG LAKE - CHANGLA PASS - LEH
Early Morning enjoy the picturesque view of sun rise on Lake, after breakfast drive back to Leh by Crossing Chang-la pass (The world's third highest motorable road 5360 m) rest of the day free, overnight stay in Hotel at Leh.
Day 07: LEH – KARGIL
After breakfast check out from Hotel and proceed to kargil, dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 08: KARGIL - SRINAGAR
After breakfast check out from Hotel and proceed to Srinagar, dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 09: DEPARTURE
After breakfast at Hotel you will be proceed to Srinagar Airport to catch your Flight for your onward destination with sweet holidays.
