Day 1: Arrival in Leh and Acclimatisation with Shanti Stupa Visit

Experience a wonderful flight over the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Leh, you will be received by a Kailash Expeditions representative and transferred to the hotel. After welcome tea and coffee, rest for the entire day and allow your body to acclimatise to the high altitude. In the late afternoon, if your health permits, drive to Shanti Stupa and spend some time enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing – Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill and Alchi

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Kali Temple, and Sangam Point (Nimu), where the Zanskar and Indus Rivers meet. Adventure enthusiasts can enjoy river rafting at Sangam.

The Hall of Fame, built by the Indian Army, is a tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War. Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, located about 40 km from Leh, was built in 1571 in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's visit to the region. Magnetic Hill is a fascinating place where vehicles appear to move uphill with their engines switched off. Return to Leh in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Journey to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass

After an early breakfast, drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft.), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Enjoy the breathtaking views along the zigzag mountain roads before reaching Hunder Village.

Upon arrival, check in to Nature's Nest North Camp. In the afternoon, explore the famous dunes and enjoy a ride on the double-humped Bactrian camel. Overnight stay at the camp or hotel.

Day 4: Excursion to Turtuk – The Former Baltistan Village

Early in the morning, drive to the picturesque village of Turtuk, one of the northernmost villages of India. Located about 115 km from Nubra Valley, the drive takes approximately 3–4 hours.

Turtuk was part of Pakistan until 1971 and is culturally influenced by Baltistan. With a population of around 4,000, the villagers follow Islam and speak the Balti language. Explore this charming village, interact with the locals, and experience their unique way of life. Later, return to Hunder Village.

Overnight stay at the camp or hotel.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok

Wake up early and visit Diskit Monastery, which offers magnificent views of the Nubra Valley. Later, drive to the mesmerising Pangong Lake via the Shyok route.

Enjoy the turquoise blue waters of Pangong Lake and the stunning mountain landscapes that surround it. The breathtaking scenery will leave you spellbound.

Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri via Tsaga La Pass

After breakfast, drive towards Tso Moriri Lake via Tsaga La Pass (4,635 meters). Tso Moriri is a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers. It serves as a breeding ground for numerous species of birds and wildlife, including the Bar-headed Goose, Great Crested Grebe, Brahminy Duck (Ruddy Shelduck), Brown-headed Gull, Wild Ass, Tibetan Mastiff, and many others.

The lake is approximately 28 km long and 8 km wide, offering mesmerising shades and colours of nature.

Overnight stay in tents.

Day 7: Tso Moriri to Leh via Tso Kar and Tanglang La

After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Korzok Village. En route, visit Puga Sulphur Springs, Tso Kar Lake, and cross Tanglang La Pass (17,585 ft.), one of the highest motorable passes in the world.

Upon arrival in Leh, the evening is free to explore the local markets.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Leisure Day in Leh and Local Market Exploration

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed day at leisure. Explore the vibrant local markets of Leh, including Changspa Market and Leh Main Market. Savour authentic Ladakhi cuisine at local restaurants and shop for souvenirs and handicrafts.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Departure from Leh with Sweet Memories

After an early breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey. Bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Ladakh and carry back unforgettable memories.

Tour Notes:

All passengers must report at the airport at least two hours before departure due to security procedures. Only jewellery and laptops are allowed in cabin baggage.
