Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Assistance upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, followed by transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Flight from Delhi to Srinagar and Dal Lake Shikara Ride
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi Airport to board your flight to Srinagar. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your deluxe houseboat (Mahjong Group of Houseboats). The afternoon is free for personal activities. In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake and witness a beautiful sunset. Overnight stay at the houseboat.
Day 03: Srinagar Local Sightseeing and Mughal Gardens
After breakfast, proceed for a half-day tour of the world-famous Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (The Abode of Love). Return to the houseboat for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy another Shikara ride on Dal Lake and admire the beauty with which nature has blessed this city, often referred to as the "Venice of the East." You will also get views of several interesting places around the lake. Overnight stay at the houseboat.
Day 04: Excursion to Gulmarg (112 km)
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the Kashmir Valley. It is famous for its golf course, the highest in the world, and for skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendour of nature and the snow-capped mountains. You may also take the Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg. In the evening, return to Srinagar. Overnight stay at the houseboat.
Day 05: Drive from Srinagar to Kargil via Sonmarg (205 km)
After breakfast, drive towards Kargil. En route, pass through picturesque villages and reach Sonmarg (2,740 metres). Continue across the rugged roads and the Zoji La Pass (3,527 metres), known as the Gateway to Ladakh. Proceed towards Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, where you will stop for tea and document checks. Another two-and-a-half-hour drive brings you to Kargil (2,710 metres), which gained prominence after Ladakh was opened to tourists in 1974. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Journey from Kargil to Leh (235 km)
Leave in the morning for a full-day drive to Leh. Today's journey involves crossing three high mountain passes and is both tiring and scenic. The first Buddhist village on the route is Mulbek. Cross Fotu La Pass (13,749 ft), the highest pass on the Srinagar-Leh Highway. By lunchtime, reach Lamayuru, home to one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh. Continue towards Nimmu, where you can witness the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers. Finally, arrive in Leh (3,500 metres). Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07: Indus Valley Monasteries Tour
After breakfast, proceed for the Indus Valley Monastery Tour, visiting Shey Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh; Thiksey Monastery, an impressive hilltop complex; Hemis Gompa, the largest monastery belonging to the Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism; Sindhu Ghat; and Stok Palace Museum. Packed or hot lunch will be provided. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Excursion to Khardung La Pass (85 km)
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at an altitude of approximately 5,600 metres. It has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and surrounding landscapes. In the late afternoon, return to Leh. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09: Flight to Delhi and Departure
Transfer to the airport in time to board your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Later, transfer to Delhi Airport to board your onward flight.
