Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar and Houseboat Stay
Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, our representative will meet and escort you to your houseboat. In the afternoon, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake and visit the interesting attractions around the lake. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 2: Srinagar Mughal Gardens and Old City Tour
In the morning, proceed for a half-day tour of the world-famous Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Pleasure), built by Asif Khan in 1636 AD, and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), built by Emperor Jahangir for his beloved Noor Jahan in 1619 AD. In the afternoon, visit the old city of Srinagar, including Jamia Masjid, Shah Hamdan Mosque, and Srinagar Museum. Enjoy a walk through the narrow bazaars of the city. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 3: Srinagar to Kargil via Sonmarg and Zojila Pass (205 km)
After breakfast, drive towards Kargil. After Sonmarg, begin the steep ascent over the rugged Zojila Pass (3,527 metres), known as the Gateway to Ladakh. Continue towards Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world, where you will stop for tea and document checks. Another two-and-a-half-hour drive brings you to Kargil. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Kargil to Rangdum (135 km)
After breakfast, drive towards the Zanskar Valley. En route, pass through Panikhar and Parkachik villages and enjoy magnificent views of the Nun and Kun peaks. Arrive in Rangdum in the evening. Overnight stay in camps.
Day 5: Rangdum to Padum via Pensi La Pass (150 km)
After breakfast, visit Rangdum Monastery and continue towards Padum, the capital of Zanskar Valley. Cross Pensi La Pass (4,401 metres) and pass through ancient Buddhist villages. After crossing Tungri Bridge, visit Sani Monastery and arrive in Padum by late afternoon. Overnight stay in camps.
Day 6: Padum, Zangla and Karsha Monastery Excursion
Today, visit Pipiting, Thonde Monastery, and Zangla Village (3,450 metres), one of the most beautiful villages in the region. Explore the ancient Zangla Monastery and, if possible, visit the Queen's Palace. On the return journey, visit Karsha Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Zanskar. Overnight stay in camps.
Day 7: Trek to Bardan Monastery and Padum Exploration
Enjoy a full-day trek to Bardan Monastery. On the return, visit Padum Market and Padum Monastery. Overnight stay in camps.
Day 8: Padum to Kargil (285 km)
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day drive back to Kargil. Arrive in the evening and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Kargil to Uleytokpo via Lamayuru (153 km)
Drive towards Uleytokpo, crossing Fotu La Pass (13,749 feet), the highest pass on the Srinagar-Leh Highway. En route, visit Mulbek and the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh. Arrive at Uleytokpo in the late afternoon. Those interested may enjoy a short trek to Rizong Monastery (5 km round trip). Overnight stay in camps.
Day 10: Uleytokpo to Leh via Alchi Monastery (81 km)
After breakfast, visit the famous Alchi Monastery and continue to Leh, passing through beautiful Buddhist villages. The afternoon is free for personal activities. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Day 11: Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monastery Excursion
Enjoy a full-day excursion to Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Hemis Monastery, the most famous monastery in Ladakh. Return to Leh in the late afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Leh Sightseeing Tour
In the morning, visit Spituk Monastery and Phyang Monastery. In the afternoon, explore Leh Palace, Tsemo Monastery, Leh Mosque, Leh Bazaar, and Shankar Monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13: Departure from Leh
Transfer to Leh Airport in time to board your flight for your onward destination.
